Cone-beam computed tomography
Small-volume cone-beam CT can produce three-dimensional views of teeth, roots, bone, sinuses, and nearby structures. When the expected diagnostic benefit justifies it, this information can help reveal complex canal anatomy, resorption, fractures, previous treatment, or the relationship between a root and surrounding anatomy.
Three-dimensional imaging is not required for every case. KC Endodontics selects the field of view and imaging approach based on the clinical question and the information already available.
Digital radiography
Digital X-rays provide detailed two-dimensional images that can be viewed and enhanced on a computer. They help evaluate roots, bone levels, decay, previous treatment, and changes associated with infection or trauma. Digital files can also be stored and shared efficiently with your restorative dentist when coordination is needed.
Radiographs are taken when they are expected to contribute to diagnosis, treatment, or follow-up—not simply as a routine step without a clinical reason.
Operating microscopes
Surgical operating microscopes provide strong magnification and focused illumination. They can help Dr. Moore identify small canal openings, examine internal anatomy, locate certain fractures or obstructions, and perform precise nonsurgical or surgical care.
Technology adds information and visibility. The diagnosis still depends on combining those findings with your history, symptoms, examination, and clinical judgment.
