Prepare with confidence

First Visit

Your initial visit centers on understanding the problem, reviewing diagnostic findings, and explaining your treatment options in clear language.

Talk with our team

What happens at the consultation

Your first appointment generally includes a review of your symptoms and health history, focused testing, appropriate imaging, and a conversation about the diagnosis and treatment options. Sometimes treatment can be completed on the same day. A complex medical history, uncertain diagnosis, or more involved treatment plan may require a separate treatment appointment.

What to bring

  • Your referral information, if one was provided
  • Recent dental X-rays or confirmation that your dentist has sent them
  • A current list of medications, including doses when available
  • Medical and dental insurance information
  • Any questions you want to discuss with Dr. Moore

Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the consultation.

Tell us about your health

Please alert the office to medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, previous reactions to anesthesia or sedation, and any medications that may affect dental care. This includes blood thinners and medications your physician or dentist has asked you to take before dental procedures.

Do not change or stop a prescribed medication on the basis of website information. If you are unsure what to take before the appointment, call KC Endodontics and, when needed, speak with the prescribing clinician.

Dental imaging

Ask your dentist to forward recent, relevant images when possible. Dr. Moore will review what is available and determine whether additional views or three-dimensional imaging are necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning.

A consultation is a decision-making visit. You will have an opportunity to understand the findings, alternatives, expected follow-up, and fees before proceeding.
